One part of our approach includes processes and polices around recycling, using best business practices to conserve resources, minimizing or eliminating any pollution wherever possible, and reducing landfill waste. We adhere to the ISO 14001 environmental management system, and strive to continuously improve and find new ways to increase sustainability.
Beyond our impact on the natural world, we believe our environment extends globally to the people we touch and interact with, and are committed to Corporate Social Responsibility in all our activities throughout all our business. We work with all our suppliers to establish criteria that we can push down throughout our supply chain.
Finally, our choice to work with Silicone is in keeping with our family’s group of companies’ philosophy of sustainability. As a fourth-generation family business from California, environmental sensitivity is part of our DNA. Our family of companies created the first Cradle to Cradle® thermoset elastomer products, so it’s no surprise that Purosil chooses to manufacture in Silicone – one of the longest lasting, most sustainable materials, from the most abundant elements on the planet – silica (sand).
